Day 1: Arrival in Paro & Thimphu

- Hike to Tiger’s Nest Monastery (Paro Taktsang): One of Bhutan’s most iconic landmarks, this monastery is perched on a cliffside over 3,000 meters above sea level. It’s believed to be the meditation site of Guru Padmasambhava (Guru Rinpoche), who brought Buddhism to Bhutan. The hike to the monastery takes 3 to 4 hours (depending on your pace), and you’ll be rewarded with breathtaking views of the valley and the surrounding pine forests. You can also visit the lower viewpoint for a shorter hike.

- Lunch at the monastery or in Paro (depending on time).
- Visit Kyichu Lhakhang: After the hike, take a visit to one of Bhutan’s oldest and most revered temples, Kyichu Lhakhang, which dates back to the 7th century. It’s known for its peaceful ambiance and beautiful surroundings.
